The Volunteer Bridge Program is a type of undergraduate admission to UT. All first-time, first-year undergraduate applicants will be evaluated as possible Volunteer Bridge candidates, so to apply to the Volunteer Bridge Program, all a student needs to do is to apply for undergraduate admission to UT.
The Volunteer Bridge Program is invitation-only.
Candidates for the Volunteer Bridge Program are reviewed from the UT first-year undergraduate admissions pool. The UT Office of Undergraduate Admissions, in conjunction with PSCC Enrollment Services, will issue invitations after a comprehensive review of UT freshman applicants who are not granted traditional admission. Invitations will be mailed to selected students in early spring. Students must confirm their acceptance into the program by the stated deadline.
Volunteer Bridge students are admitted to UT as non-degree-seeking students in the first year. Upon completing program requirements or otherwise securing transfer admission to UT, their status is changed to degree-seeking for their sophomore year and beyond.
Volunteer Bridge students do not need to reapply for admission to UT after completing the program.
