The Volunteer Bridge Program is a great way to launch an academic career at UT. Volunteer Bridge students have the opportunity to experience freshman year with the support of two academic institutions.
With the smaller class sizes and navigable campus of PSCC and the opportunity to experience freshman life at UT—along with dedicated support staff at both institutions—Volunteer Bridge students are uniquely situated to have a successful first year and thrive after transitioning to UT coursework for their sophomore year and beyond.
While enrolled in the Volunteer Bridge Program, students will take courses to earn 30+ hours of credit toward their college degree. While these courses will be primarily taken at PSCC, the credits will be transferable toward a degree from UT. Students, in careful consultation with both UT and PSCC advisors, will determine their course schedule based on transferability of credit, their academic needs and interests, and their desired future course of study at UT.
