Incoming freshmen who are eligible to participate in this program will receive a personal invitation from the University of Tennessee Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Those choosing to participate then complete a simple confirmation process through the VIP portal.
If you are interested in this program, you must first submit an application for admission to UT.
Volunteer Bridge students can live on UT’s campus (or commute if they are local students) starting in the summer or fall and take advantage of services and resources at both UT and PSCC throughout freshman year.*
Students who begin the program in the summer will complete 4-8 hours of coursework at UT before transitioning to fall and spring courses at PSCC. Students who begin the program in the fall semester will take all classes at PSCC while in the program. Upon successful completion of the program, students will transition back to UT for their sophomore year coursework and beyond.
Volunteer Bridge students live together on the UT campus as part of a Living and Learning Community (LLC), unless they are classified as commuter students.* They will be issued a UT student ID and may take advantage of nearly all of the student services and activities available to UT students.
